This game also contributed to Nintendo’s success at the last E3 (if we don’t think only of the queues created outside the tournament but also the video that shows Iwata and Reggie in a fight) and is symptomatic of the quality injection in the company’s productions, capable of carry to your games, humorous notes and a global overview of your history.
SUPER SMASH BROS 3DS HACKS PORTABLE
SSB is the first game to come out on a portable console and with this edition, despite the constraints derived from the limits of the screens and the power of the console, the main elements of the game fit in a pocket laptop, and anyone can take the multiple battle stages to anywhere.Ĭlassic characters are positioned on the front line. But the game that Sora (Masahiro Sakurai) created for 3DS – which brought us Kid Icarus Uprising for 3DS – in conjunction with other studios, including Hal Laboratory, reaches almost everything fans could expect. Effective but lean starting content, compared to the most recent productions, if we think of Wii’s Super Smash Brawl and, going a little further back, SSB Melee for GameCube.

The 1999 SSB, released for the Nintendo 64, contains just eight fighters, some unlockable and almost a dozen sets. A game that intended to function as a “party game” of different coordinates, created in the light of “fighting games” and with a collection of characters, battle stages, items and powers ups, these, yes, coming from more distant home productions.

And yet, the original Super Smash Bros dates back to 1999, at the end of the millennium. What today represents the launch of Super Smash Bros (SSB) for 3DS, an authentic sales phenomenon, as seen in Japan just over a week ago and continuing on October 3rd here in Portugal and other countries on the continent European, conveys the idea of an apparent long journey, like many other Nintendo series.
